Foreigner Training Program
Established in 1975, the Course has by now been streamlined so that on completing the Course, the student-physicians become competent to practice Homeopathy on their own, to teach Homeopathy, and to conduct Research.
The Institute has evolved the concept of Standardized Homeopathy, all the practices flowing from this, and the students are well on the way to master it at the end of the Course.
Action-based Learning is a Hallmark of the Course, the Clinical Training being its heart. The teaching methodology is based on the principle of Case-to-Concept, all the work focusing on the cases seen in actual practice.
The Course addressed to fresh medical graduates and physicians already in practice. Some of the salient features are given below:
ELIGIBILITY
Graduate or Diploma holders from any of the recognized colleges of medicine (Allopathic, Homeopathic or Ayurvedic) can apply towards the end of their internship. Medical practitioners are also eligible.
35 - 40 learners can be admitted every term at the courses conducted simultaneously at Mumbai, Pune and Baroda branches.
DURATION
Minimum three terms of 6 months each beginning in April and October of each year in case of full-time entrants. The duration and the details of the course for each learner are individualized and are mutually discussed in the admission interview.
The Certificate issued has no official status in respect of granting the physician eligibility to Registration with any Board / Authority, State as well as Central, concerned with the recognizing / regulation of Homeopathic Practice.
HALLMARKS
- The Case is the heart of the day-to-day training and sessions. From the cases under discussion evolves the whole study material as well as discussions and presentations. The students are thus faced with the practice situation every day.
- The students get immense clinical exposure , since clinical training is imparted in all the clinical centers of the Trust. The private clinics of the faculty members are also thrown open to the students for responsible participation.
- The concept of the Unprejudiced Observer, so vital to Homeopathic practice, is a core training unit of the Course.
- As a result, sensitivity training of the trainee physician is an important aspect of the course. This gives a rare maturity to the physician completing the course.
- The Course covers the entire field of Homeopathic Philosophy and Practice , treating these two components as an integral whole.
