ABOUT THE ICR GROUP

The Dr. M. L. Dhawale Memorial Trust was established in 1987, after the untimely demise of Dr. M. L. Dhawale, an M. D. who had turned Homoeopath.

The Trust was established by his students and patients to fulfil his vision of service to Humanity through Homoeopathy. The Mission of the Trust is:

"Excellence in Integrated Homoeopathic Medical Care,
Education & Research in order to promote
"Positive Health"in a cost-effective manner."

The Trust strives to reach positive health to the masses – health, which is not mere absence of disease, but a vibrant sense of well being. This it does through the chief treatment modality of Homoeopathy, since Homoeopathy too seeks to cure the individual, to establish health and not just to remove the symptoms of disease.

The small sweet pills of Homoeopathic medicine hide behind them a lot of hard work and discipline on the part of the Homoeopathic physician. The Trust seeks to train Homoeopathic physicians to prescribe accurately, to cure with minimal discomfort to the patient before them. It also seeks to develop a sound value system which pays total attention to the welfare of the patient, whatever his capacity to pay.

At the Trust centres, constant study is conducted to upgrade the science of Homoeopathic medicine, which is based on natural laws and principles. This is Research at its best.

Dr. M. L. Dhawale had found through hard experience that only that physician keeps all these faculties intact, who is constantly in touch with patients, students and the ever-widening field of knowledge; only that physician who contributes actively to the tri-co-ordinate system of patient-care, learner-care and knowledge-care. When a physician tries to integrate all these, does he achieve excellence in his field.

The Trust functionaries, too, have discovered this. Hence the Mission statement, as well as the activities, seek integration of all processes of treatment and of knowledge.

Currently about 150 dedicated physicians give their services to the Trust and the Trust runs a total of 5 hospitals, 15 urban clinics, 5 rural clinics and 15 mobile tribal clinics.

It has been sanctioned seats for M. D. (Hom.) in 6 subjects. It takes 36 students per term so as to prepare them for their M. D., apart from running its own Post-Graduate Regular Training Courses.

It conducts national and international Continuing Medical Education Programmes, conducts Symposia and runs Orientation Programmes for lay persons.

It also runs 6 research programmes through its various Hospitals.

It has so far published 7 books of its own, including a mammoth Symposium Volume on Hahnemannian Totality.

It does all these activities through its own Hospitals and Clinics and also through the Dr. M. L. Dhawale Memorial Homoeopathic Institute (estd. 2003), Homoeopathic Education and Charitable Trust (estd. 1997), and its Pune branch. All these constitute together the ICR GROUP OF ORGANIZATIONS.
